An epoxy of emotion
I go through daily.
So much devotion.
Where will it take me?
I reach out;
Grasp empty space.
Trying to scout
For a safer place,
To put my heart at rest.
Passing through
To the next test,
That life bestows
Upon me.
Finding
Only a moment.
Yet needing
An eternity.
Feelings swirl
Through my mind,
An endless circle
Of idle time;
Whispers are spoken
In the dark;
As a solitude figure
Walks through the park.
Alone, needy,
Looking for love.
An innocent heart
Trapped
In this world
Of push and shove.
Sometimes empty,
Sad and down:
All alone
in this ghost town.
Just to hold,
Once again.
A gamble of emotion;
Will I lose or win?
To touch, feel,
Care and hold:
So much devotion,
That cannot be
Bought or sold.
Help me
Relearn to feel.
