This piece of Taiwanese-made crap is the Kenwood True52X CD-ROM drive. It was supposed to be the best CD-ROM drive on the market. Well after less than a full year the damn thing died on me. Hell even when it worked "right" this fucking thing had "issues" (as in fucking problems) with audio CDs and some CD-R and CD-RW discs.
And so when this drive finally died like all Taiwanese-made parts do oh so quickly it was replaced by an AOpen DVD-ROM drive. Which, being a Taiwanese-made product, will also fail in under a year and a half.
See American companies get it right. Our products fail even before they hit the sales floor. And when they do fail they fail HARD and take many innocent lives with them. SWEET!!
Let's see, a 52X CD-ROM versus a .45 ACP... sounds fair.
