| "hMmMmMmMmMm... aiight.. some thing you need to get into audio...."- lowd mowf Mic - Now there are a lot of preferences on the mics that people use... some prefer headsets to hand held.. some prefer the mini mics to normal size.. and some like the clip ons... but i suggest a good hand held... or a really good headset... there are pros and cons with each.. ill try to explain them... ~Headsets - Hella air feedback.. breath control has to be top notch unless you want to be fuckin with hiss reduction and noise reduction forever to get rid of that breath overtone to the words... but you dont have that hands free problem of getting into it.. and having the mic move away from your mouth... which means the levels on ya vocals will be constant.... ~Hand Held - Nice... get a wire mesh screen and a foam filter.. youre set.. can blow in it and barely hear it.. great for people with bad breath control.. but shitty for people who dont anunciate.. because its easy to take the mic away from your mouth when you get into it.. showing energy.. and sometimes dropping it.. so its all on how well you can remember to hold the mic close... some people even cup the mic screen so that there is less air noise... less speckle noise.. and the vocals echo a slight bit.. enough to help anunciation.. but not be a DJ Clue effect... Recording Program - Ya need a good recording program... and that Sound Recorder in entertainment on ya applications... is NOT considered a recorder for vocals... Jesus... i dont know how many people have been ruined by those damn things... i recommend the Cool Edit series... which one is really your choice... i used 96 for the first month.. and quickly switched to pro... again.. pros and cons to all of them.. but i will explain 2000 and pro.... you can snatch the version you pay for at www.Cooledit.com.... but fuck that.. hit www.MusicCity.com and DL morpheus... ~Cool Edit 2000 - Need plug-ins... the biggest setback on this program is that it needs plug-ins.... and it doesnt allow for a good recording quality if you want to multi track and record.. it will stutter occasionally.. and sometimes pause.... but with plug-ins and the proper amount of memory....[at least a Gig]... then it will be fine... ~Cool Edit Pro - I highly recommend this.. if you can find the program file.. snatch it.. and if you need it.. email me with a request and i will send it to you... but this program is very good... the filters are helpful.. Studio Voice helps ya vocals once installed with the setting numbers... and the plug-ins for 2000 are already included as options in the basic Pro package... but it also has plug-ins for quality and vocal manipulation... good program... Mixer - The mixer you get isn't really important to the process.. cause all you need is a good ear... but i do recommend that you have a multi mixer.. that will allow you to merge, fade in and out, amplify, and adjust levels for vocals and beat.... in order to get a more professional touch.. and something that i like.. you can get Quality Control - Ehhh.. not really needed but it does help if you have a shitty soundcard.. and will be shamed by the crap you call an audio.... Converter - You can't upload the WAVs and expect peopel to sit there for a long time and wait for it to load on realplayer.... so you might wanna get a converter of some sort... now what kind is your choice.... theres WAV to MP3, WAV to RM, and WAV to WMA.... but the most widely used are WAV to MP3 and RM.... so there are a number of spots to go for theses.... www.Downloads.com has some nice programs when you search... www.MusicMatch.com gives you an MP3 converter and WMA converter.... a MP3, WAV, and WMA player.. and a burner... all in one... and the free version does all but burn CDs... good choice.... www.Real.com will get you a WAV to RM converter real nice... simple and to the point.. with customs that you can toy with... Upload Site - some people use FTP and their personal site.. some people use www.SoundClick.com... people use www.Mp3.com.... and www.JavaMusic.com... along with www.Rapstation.com.... in the end this should be what you need and shit... if not and you still cant do audios.. you are a total idiot..and do not deserve to make audios... let alone upload them.. uNo... ---- hMmMmMmMmMm.... ::iSMACKS Xcursion::.... Sit the fuck down you cock.. this isnt English class... get off the damn stage with that hand raising shit... but to answer your question.. yes i can... but its different for audios and for text... so ill explain each and its own aspects... -AUDIO- Aiight... now despite what people have told you about this... the speed of the beat is not the problem when your shit seems to go offbeat.. often its the wording of your bars... which can be helped with any of a number of things.... most often with the metaphors.. and punches... so ill script those two out... ~Punches Do your punches make sense... as in the wordplay is not forced.. because chances are if it is force.. then it will take forever.. and the last thing you want is to babble for 5 bars with filler.. trying to cram in the wordplay for the punch in the 6th bar.... so heres some random tips.... and they might help... or you might fuck yourself up more.. so be warned.... -= is your wordplay on point.. witty and short enough to fit comfortably into the bar length of your beat?.... -= did you make sure to take into account your own personal speaking habits.. where you take breaths and how you anunciate.. adding in time or taking time away for those variables?.... -= did you make sure that you can comfortably anunciate all the words and sentences in a way that others will be able to hear you... understand you.. and decipher what you are saying.... not to mention catch the wordplay?.... -= did you think about the manner in which your emotion expresses the words.. so that certain words important for the wordplay are stressed in the proper way.. making them clear and catching the listeners ear?.... those things above should help you with the audio aspects as much as punches are concerned... but wordplay is a different story.. there are more factors and more complications... unfortunately.. then there are in text... so ill do my best to explain those... ~Wordplay its a bitch... keeping track of the range your wordplay goes into.. and the way your fans will recieve it.. and even if they might miss it and regard it as a filler... which has happened to me many a time.. when people dont listen.. just nod the head... so heres some ways to make em stand out.. and even better... -= adlibs... the death of an emcees audio if he decides to make too much in adlibs.. there needs to be breaks... and often the breaks are made in the wrong places... so do this.. take the first word and the last word of the wordplay and do an adlib from one to the other.... works better then one might think... also.. a nice.. misplaced adlib.. ending right before the wordplay.. catches the listeners ear.. and they hear the wordplay clearer... -= echo... No0o0o0o0o0o... dont do it.. its so gay and no one can even hear the next fuckin five sentences cause its reverbing ni the background.... stay away from echo... -= delay.... ahhh.. how most people do it.. and honestly.. how my earlier audios are done.. cause i liked the robotic effect it gave to the audios at first.. but i realized it fucks up the quality.. and it does.. horribly... stay away from that.... -= entire track in adlibs... do this and ill kill you... -= multis with wordplay... yes.. this will always catch the ear and make them say.. damn... cause it shows lyricalist talent.. and thoughtfulness at the same time.... a plus on any audio... thats about it for now... ill come back and do the text in a quick moment.... but for now.. if you see this.. and have questions i didnt answer... ask em... uNo... |
