| "Tip on Mastering Quality"- Beyond Comparison aight if you've seen alot of the joints here on rapmusic of those people who claim they master there own stuff....partially it is bullshit the majority of people may have mastered there songs but they mastered it to play perfect through the pc.... recently i've been playin around and experimenting with mastering techniques and noticed this by not only messing with the quality settings and ish of my own tracks, but by also dl'in other people's tracks too and listenin to em... see if you listen to the songs on your pc it sounds perfect, but burn that same file on cd and play it in a normal house cd player, or in your car(if you have one) and notice the difference..... the majority of the time the bass from the beats are extremely too high and overpowers vocals on the regular cd players, but on the pc it sounds normal.... the same goes for treble, and the mids....they jus are extremely high on normal cd players.... so before you think you've got a song mastered down perfect.....burn it to cd and try playin in more than one type of audio device to see what it sounds like....cause remember if you're serious about your music, you don't want to make your songs sound perfect for just for the pc, but for radios/cdplayers because that's where the majority of your fanbase would prolly hear it most if they chose to buy an LP off of you |
