Ladies and Gentlemen: we are proud to bring you latest in Sims hair fashion. Get that just coiffed look everyday (even while swimming) with these very detailed meshes. And the best part? You don't need any additional texture files! Any c001fa texture will work on these meshes.

Furthermore, as most complex meshes (especially of this detail) would require several cross-referenced .skn, these have just one. Also, the meshes have been considerably chopped down in 3d Studio in order to get them to a more practical size, SIMply speaking.

In this set...

c734fa_realsculpt: an "updo" with tresses and curls. This may be my favorite
c735fa_realshag: a difficult mesh to create, it is a foreshadowing of things to come on Valentine's Day. Finally, wavy, textured hair.
c736fa_realtost: over the shoulder, with earrings. I like it.
c737fa_realhausfrau: plain bobbed style. Nice for old people. Heh.
c747fa_realcrazy: very textured, slightly messy style. Detailed hairs.
c749fa_realmane: mid-length style that rises high on top. Earring meshes.
c769fa_realring: longer shag cut. I like it a little better. Lots of detail.
c770fa_realcrimp: unusual mid-length style with crimped edges. Shows nicely in game.

Hey...Valentine's Day is coming up...yippee. It's gonna be big, Big, BIG! Folks from all over are gonna help us celebrate the final "realhair" installments. AND...yup...we're gonna have about 20 male meshes for you. Heh-heh. Cool beans, Daddio.

Caution should be exercized when using these skins. While no problems have been reported with these smaller files, use them sparingly in the game in order to maintain optimal performance. All precautions have been taken in order to insure that these are safe and usable for the Sims, but problems always arise somewhere.

Therefore, Fionn nor any of the other Simfreaks contributors may be held responsible for any damages that these files may cause to your version of the Sims or resulting computer problems. We will be happy to give advice regarding their use.

I've seen these meshes popping up all over the place. Great. Wanna use these meshes at your own site? Out of courtesy and penalty of being "drawn and quartered", please follow these simple guidelines:

1) provide credit to Fionn on site, and include this readme.txt in the zip.
2) provide a link to http:\\www.Simfreaks.com on your site.
3) contact me (Fionn) at barbaros@bellsouth.net and let me know about it. I'd love to see it!

Directions: use Simshow.**
place all .bmp's in your xx/Sims/Gamedata/Textures directory.
place all .skn and .cmx in your xx/Sims/Gamedata/People 1 directory.
Run Simshow. Any c001fa file will work nicely into any of these meshes. Experiment with the hairtexturing and style that works best for each mesh, and export it from Simshow to the Gamedata/Skins directory.

**Note: Maxis' new program, Sims Character Editor, may be used. All files have been tested effective with this editor. However, the c001fa textures must be named to the desired mesh and imported into game before Character Editor can use them.

A very special thanks goes out to Aladrin Kelahn. Without his help and constant guidance, these meshes would have gone unmade. Wherever you are Al, you da man.

Also thanks goes out to the good folks at Metacreations, who manufacture Poser, the program used to create the original .obj's for many of these meshes. And to the guest artists of various sites whose free hair models helped to provide inspiration (and some of the .obj) for these meshes. Thanks to the authors of the 3d Max plugin "PolyChop" for chopping down these meshes to a reasonable size. Thanks to Bil Simser for his advice and expertise during a hectic time for him. Finally, a thanks to Veronica, Heather, Kinsey, Jerome, and Bookgrrl for their beta testing. And a further thanks to Heather for providing a forum for my work. And thanks to you for caring. WHEW!
