| We have a big problem in New Zealand, just last year 18,000 babies were killed in order to rid women and couples of embarrassment and the consequences of their actions. This is wrong and something needs to be done. Pippa Mcay is an everyday woman to the eye. She owns her own house, walks her dog every morning and feeds her fish in the evenings. What you cant tell by looking at this woman is that she is a big time murderer. She is an abortionist; everyday she goes to work and kills another few helpless victims. She is not punished, she is paid. Just like a hit man except her prey are defenseless and cannot do anything in protest. In her defence, many may say that at the point when abortion takes place, the baby is a foetus and cannot feel anything. Does this mean that killing it is right? No! Ending someones life whether or not they are fully grown or can feel anything is murder. We do not accept it with full grown people and we should not accept abortion either. When thinking about abortion, one should always take into account the life that child could have had. When abortionists kill a foetus, they kill a future. That child never got a chance to show the world what it could do, and now it never will. Some may say What if the abortion is taking place because the foetus has shown signs of mental or physical problems? Then the child wouldnt have a life. Then tell me, if you kill the child, will it have a normal life? I think it is just an excuse for parents who cannot be bothered adjusting their lives to care for someone who needs it. On many occasions when faced with this subject, people skip to the conclusion that it is the womans choice whether the baby is born or not, but is it? Should we be giving such an important decision like this one to women who were stupid enough to get into this position in the first place? I think not. People who get into sexual relationships know the consequences, and if they werent ready for those consequences, what were they doing having sex? Abortion, no matter what people say is murder, and is taken as the easy way out of a tight spot, but the easy way isnt always the best way, and in this case is not the only way: adoption is a better choice. Do you not think giving a child to a loving family is nicer than killing it? --Miriam |
