| This is my faith; this is what I believe. The Bible says that the wages of sin is death, and we've all sinned. I'll be the first to admit I have. It's part of being born human. But no matter what I did, I could not remove that stain from my life record. It's sort of like mixing up an omlet. If you threw a rotten egg in there, it doesn't matter how many good eggs you put in; it's still going to stink. That's where I was. But God sent his son to live a perfect life and then take my punishment. He took my sin, so that he could give me his rightouseness and there would be nothing seperating me from God. No one here knows what it's like to be completely seperated from their creator. No one will experience that unless they go to hell. I, for one, don't want to find out. Maybe you don't believe the truth of the Bible. I could offer you physical proof because there was a time when I questioned what I believed. And I did find that there is physical proof that the Bible is true. For example: Did you know that when Jesus was born he fullfilled 108 prochecies? And the original writings of those prophecies were already proved to have been written long before His birth, but that proof isn't why I believe. I've been a Christian for about seventeen years, and the real reason I've believed all this time is because what has been in my heart all this time is very real. It may well be the only reason I'm here now. |
I won't actually try to talk you into it. I only want you to know the truth; because, to be quite blount, if you don't have a relationship with Jesus Christ, you will be in hell after you die. So if you're annoyed by this section, look at it this way. This is my way of not telling you to go to hell. The way you have a saving relationship with Christ is to simply put your faith, your trust in Him. It's like a chair. You can stare at it all day long and truly believe it will hold you up, but until you sit on it, until you trust in it, it will not do you any good. Jesus Christ wants to hold you up. He wants you to trust Him. All you have to do is pray and He will. If you don't know how, it's simple. You just tell God what's on your heart. You don't even have to say it aloud. He knows your thoughts. He's watching you, hoping you'll make that decision. He longs to be there for you like a father longs for a long lost son. And you will never be as complete as if you give yourself to Him. | |||||||||||
