| 2/12/2005 Since there will not likely be another entry on or before Monday, happy flippin' valentines day. Those of you who have seen Napoleon Dynamite might get that. Those who haven't... GO WATCH THE FLIPPIN' MOVIE! GOSH!! :P It's been an all-around good week for me. Thursday morning I found that two different schools called me while I was still asleep. I had a late night as usual, which might have to change significantly, so I slept a until close to ten o'clock. So I called back the closest one. And, that's right folks, I subbed! I called them back at about 10. They told me to be there at 11:00. I had JUST GOTTEN UP (dang!). I had essentially just gotten out of the shower when I got to the school. :P But I'm officially a substitute teacher now, and it was great! I knew half the kids there already, and most of them were kids I had not seen in quite a while. They joked about having to call me Mr. Good, since most of them are so use to just calling me Robert. It was a particularly interesting experience since the only school I ever actually went to, aside from college, was a primary school (for those who might not know, I was homeschooled), so I think they actually expected me to know a little more about it than I really did. But it worked out well anyway. The cafeteria food was interesting. I got a chicken sandwich, and it did taste, well, it sort of reminded me of Mcdonald's chicken nuggets. But isn't chicken suppose to be white meat? I think it is; I'm pretty sure *insert sarcastice smiley here*. This was sort of a dark, ash gray meat. but it did taste like chicken. But, heck, everything tastes like chicken, right? For all I know, it could've been cat or a lizard. I sat with some of the kids there, and I noticed that none of them got a sandwich. Hm... Anyway... I had a good week, and I hope everyone else did too. God bless! --Robert |
