1/3/2004: HAPPY NEW YEAR PEOPLE!!

I can hardly believe that the new semester is only a week away. Time flies when you're having fun! The break from usual routine has been nice.
I hope everyone had fun ringing in 2005! I didn't really do anything all that different; after all, I stay up all night anyway. I stayed up until about 4:30am playing online games with Elizabeth, chatting with different people, and watching Conann O' Brien. But the next day my parents were celebrating their 25th anniversary with a big ceremony and stuff, so I and my whole family were in that. That night I invited everyone I could find who I went with to South Dakota back in the summer to come to my house where we had a gift exchange, pizza, and other snacks...
Thanks to Donald and Jacob for fixing my car! I couldn't pull them off of it, but they did great work. I'll never understand guys like them, mechanics at heart. I just don't get the same kind of satisfaction out of working on a car, but I'm glad somebody does.
Later my parents brought a giant cake home, and it was the best cake ever!! But for some reason Janna decided I would look good in icing. She smeared some of her cake across my shirt, and I retaliated by grabbing some and smearing it on her back as she ran away. Of course, she grabbed more of her cake and cornered me in the kitchen. After adding some red icing to my neck, she turned and ran, but she slipt. And I grabbed a handful of cake and rubbed into her hair. And I don't know where she got it from, but she slammed a handful of icing into the side of my face, sending pieces of cake flying everywhere. It was great. And then we took pictures. :P That party was the highlight of my weekend.
After the party, I still had cake all over me. My entire body was sticky from icing. Funny thing is I know beyond doubt that the water was working fine. Janna was washing her hands, cleaning off some of the cake, just before she left. But right after everyone left, just a couple of minutes later, there was no water. And I needed a shower more than I had needed a shower in a long time. But I had to wait for the water company to get out and fix things. Oh, well... At least I smelled good (strawberry shortcake, mmmmm).
Anyway... Take care everyone!! God bless!
