| 11/6/2004: It's hard to believe we're already in November. I think this week might warrant an extra entry, but I'm not sure yet. There are some pretty cool things happening here; I'm kind of glad for them at least. First off... BUSH WON!! Eat it, Kerry! Eat it! I have made a special new message board in the forum for the occasion. The question up for specualtion is John Kerry's spine: Does he really have one, and if so, what does he do with it? Click here to respond. There has been one response to the Homestarrunner question. If you don't know what that is you should get to know. It's sometimes cheesey often funny, but most of you will get into it. Click here and have a look around the site. Then once you've been educated in all things (or at least some things) Homestarrunner, click the blue 'Homestarrunner,' and respond to the poll and message board questions. The Hasty's caught the 'holy rolers' the very night of their first operation. :P Not giving any names, though some already know who they are. Only one of them was called to help clean up the mess. Since they were already caught, I'll likely write something of their exploits. I'm not sure how many know about it, so I won't mention any names or targets except the one they were caught in. Just off the top of my head, so far there are at least twelve people who have said I look like Jesus. I know it's just because of my hair, but I must admit it's a little discomforting at times. It is funny, though, that so many people have said the same thing. I'm going to start keeping a tally of all the people who agree just for the heck of it. There have been quite a few people comment on my color of choice to wear. A lot of it had to do with the fact that there is nothing wrong with wearing black, though people find it strange when you do it a lot, and I was so tired of the rediculous level of superficiality even within churches that I started wearing it a lot. Now, especially in the winter, it's almost all I wear. There is a more detailed explanation of why I've continued to wear a lot of black, and you might be surprised at my experiences in it. Click here to read it. I have been working on chapter three of The Journey, which is a working title. I've actually re-written a lot of what is posted on this site. It has a slow start, but the plot is getting thicker. Chapter three introduces the conflict, and that's where I might stop posting it on the web-site. But I'm not entirely sure. I've been writing just for fun. A lot of it I've been writing as I go along, so it's a little surprising to me when it's initially written, which is why it gets re-written a lot. The basic plot has stayed the same when it's re-written, but I added things that I feel add vibrance to the story, while also removing things that became unnecessary. So I will probably update the web-site with it eventually. Many of you know that I have been looking for a job and that it looked like I would be working at Movie Gallery. Well, they still haven't called me back, so it seems rather unlikely. But I did call the school board to see if they got the background check results back yet, and they said that they've been getting results back from the checks that went at about the same time mine did, so it could be any day now, which is exciting. Employment as an afterschool worker carries with it the most ideal hours for me right now, so here's hoping. Jed & Sally filed the paperwork, so I'm that much closer to being a summer missionary. Please, keep praying about it. I miss the kids from the Sports Center! To any that might see this: I love you guys! Take care of yourselves! And come to the next lock-in! :P --Robert |
