| 10/25/2004 I had a great weekend with the WATCH team in Tennessee. We collaborated with another WATCH team on the song Arise My Love, and it was the most fun I've ever had doing it. But when I came home, I found that the plumbing was out of order. I had to go to the Sports Center just to take a shower. And, of course, most of you know I've been out of a job, which makes for boring weekends, and there was some other crap I was dealing with, as well, that I won't go into. But I prayed about it, and I talked to an old friend of mine. Today I got my test scores back for MTH 112. I got a 77. I know it's not great, but it's the highest score I've ever made in Algebra. I put in an application at Movie Gallery in G'vegas, and it sounds like I might be working there very soon. They said they were going to need help, so here's hoping. And the plumbing was fixed earlier this afternoon. Isn't it great how God can turn things around? I read Shadowmancer, and I highly recommend it. It's a great fantasy story, and really, the only thing I didn't like about it was that I didn't get to know certain characters as much as I wanted to. The author doesn't really spend much time developing them, which isn't really bad for the most part. You get to know the characters as the plot unfolds, but one of the best characters in the story doesn't appear until the last couple of chapters. The real imfasis was on the plot itself, which was fine. It starts off with action, and it ends with a LOT of action. But with the added action came greater depth. It's an unusual writing style, that made the book that much more interesting to read. I can't wait to see the movie. Now I need to read Wormwood. Well, I should go now. I hope everyone has a great week! God bless! --Robert |
