HOW TO USE

Okay, first, make a directory/folder called 'SNES' on your desktop, or in your base directory. Then, unzip the files into the SNES folder/directory. Then run the batch files that came in the trans.zip file. BPW and SFPWXP are now patched. Now run out and get an emulator, I usually use ZSNES or SNES9x.

Click here to go the ZSNES Homepage ZSNES works better in DOS, and is my program of choice. If you play SFPWXP in Windows with this emulator, with the sound turned off, it may freeze. It doesn't do it to me, but some people have complained of this bug.

Click here to go to the SNES9x Homepage Snes9x works in both DOS and Windows, but is inferior in many aspects. It does have a better sound system though.

You will need SFHACK to join the tournament. It can back up SaveRam characters into modules, which you trade with your friends, and also you can download them from certain websites. For SFHACK and TONS of great modules, go to Emulation Junk. It is by far the best source for Super Fire Pro Wrestling X Premium on the internet, and it is also the place where I got the translations for the games listed here.

In my opinion, ZSNES is much better. However, SNES9x has a better sound system. Also, for some reason ZSNES will freeze up in SFPWXP on some computers. I don't know why, it never does it to me. Once you get your emulator, and unzip it into the SNES folder/directory, just run the emulator to play the games. ZSNES works better in DOS, so restart computer in MS-DOS mode for it, it works GREAT in DOS.

Lastly, if you people think of any old SNES games that you like, and want them, just email me at mailto:[email protected] and I'll try to find them. I highly recommend Seiken Densetsu 3, and the Breath of Fire RPGs.

That's all there is up here for now, I may update this page some more some other time, with pics, movies, and SaveRams.

Swanton Bomb from Jeff Hardy to Toshiaki Kawada, in BPW

(I took about 50 frames out of the move in the game, that's why it's choppy)

Senton Bomb from Matt Hardy to Hulk Hogan, in BPW

(Once again, MANY frames cut out of this. Plus, the stupid ref wanted to DQ me for this move for some reason, and stood in front of Hulk. But no mere ref can stop Matt Hardy! Mwa ha ha!)

HOW TO PLAY

On account of there being tons of people out there who keep emailing me on how to play the games, it's simple. It's not how fast you mash the buttons, it's all about timing. When you and your opponent touch, you get in a clinch(armbar, whatever). From there it's up to you to figure out the timing. It's not hard, once you get used to it up the difficulty of the CPU opponents. Okay, and a few more directions. First,

SFPWXP

Okay, taunt: That's easy, press the L button. That would be the corresponding key or joystick button. Suicide Dive/Springboard: When your opponent is outside of the ring, run at the ropes and hold the A button. For springboard, stand by the ropes, and hold the direction to the outside, and tap the A button. Test of Strength: Tap left and right really fast. Escape from Submissions: Also tappping left and right really fast. Double Team: To grab your opponent for a team move, grab them from behind, and press your R button. That lifts them onto your shoulders. Press R+up or R+down to just hold them still for your partner to hit them.

BPW

Now, this game is fairly easy to remember the keys. On the top rope, hold "R" and press the key of the move you want to do to do it to the outside. Suicide dives, run at the ropes and hold R and the button for the move. Springboards? Stand by the ropes, hold R, and press the direction and the button of the move you want to do. Simple!

Note: I always find it easy to use ZSNES for these games, for it's key combination function. For SFPWXP, I do the following: left/frame skip 1/right/frame skip 1, and assign a key to that. That makes escapes and test of strengths VERY easy. For BPW, I set it make my springboards and suicide dives just one key press.
