Breaded Mozzarella Sticks 1 lb mozzarella or other cheese 1/2 cup flour 3 eggs, beaten with 1/2 tablespoon milk 1-1/2 cups breadcrumbs plain or seasoned oil for frying 1/2 cup pizza, spaghetti or marinara sauce, for dipping Cut cheese into sticks approximately 1/2 inch in diameter and 2 inches long. Coat cheese with flour, shaking off excess. Dip in egg mixture and roll in breadcrumbs, coating thoroughly. Place on tray in a single layer and place in freezer for 30 minutes. (This helps to set the coating.) Make Ahead Tip: At this point, place ticks in a bag or container and keep in freezer until ready to cook and serve. Deep fry in batches about 3 to 4 minutes or until golden brown. Serve immediately alongside sauce. Makes about 16 pieces.
