Hi, my name is Kha'nh. I came over to Canada when I was only 2 so my Vietnamese is not the greatest but my heart and desire for the growth and preservation of the Vietnamese culture lies sewed into my heart. I guess as early as I can remember ever since I was 4 years old my parents have brought me to every Vietnamese patriotic rally against communism and I have seen first-hand through the eyes of the elders, the hardships and sufferings that has brought to them in the new desolate country of Canada, only to create a better life for their family and children.
From these hardships, I silently learned to involve myself in Vietnamese organizations in order to enrich the lifes of other Vietnamese people. It all started from my first Vietnamese class at the age of 5. I took Vietnamese class from than on to grade 11. Than I discovered a Vietnamese club at Harbord and took on the position of Public Relation. From than on I got involved with Waterloo's VSA as sport-director and UVSA's sport director for 3 consecutive years and a year as UVSA's president. During those years, many individuals have introduced me to the Vietnamese communities and the hardship they experienced as student's struggling to integrate into Canada. I have been lucky to have experienced 2 totally different evolving generations and learned to appreciate what I have been given and to help otherss get over this hardship whether it be in school life or personal life.
During my spare time, I like to uhm... what spare time? I guess, I spend endless hours on the computer developing web pages for UVSA and Vietnamese Martial Arts. I used to like playing all sports, especially soccer.
