STRAIGHT FROM THE INCUBUS PRESSCON << back l page 3
y’know…rap music, you know, that’s you know with the tuntables, it’s just the rap music. I was really into that whole culture back then. Now, I’ve sorta expanded into a marionette and ah, I’m a bit… you know what I mean? I’m just expanding it and trying to take it personally from anywhere.
Ben Kenney: For me, it’s kind of a different thing. It’s like, I kind of out playing in a high school, college hiphop group and I wans’t playing in like a high profile rock group or like a high profile jazz quartet or anything. It’s just kind of, that’s the one thing everyone can trace it back to, but it’s like, me personally, I listen to every kind of music. I feel you’know, you can’t really represent it at all times, and I think with regards to the band, originally, they kind of speak their own ways, so it’s not really like, Incubus is a kind of hiphop band It’s kind of, these guys just kind of speak their instruments the way they do and that sound comes up. That’s it.
For the last question, I just want to know if you guys are attached, or some of you are married, or some of you are divorced… Kind of a personal question, but we just want to know … we’d like to know if you’re still single
Ben Kenney: I’m married to the music. Mike Einziger: I’m attached. I’m very attached. To my two cats at home. DJ Chris Kilmore: I think Jose isn’t the only one (???) at the moment. Uh, Like Ben said, we’re all attached to the music. We, ah…we have supportive girlfriends at home. Y’know what, our girlfriends really support us…(???)
