Gods & Goddesses
Here is a list of some deities from various beliefs and countries.  I know I am missing many of them, so if you want to send me any to put here, feel free to do so, just send me an e-mail.  I'm adding more as I find them.  This names come in handy for more then just invoking them, I use these names for characters in stories that I write.  yeah thats right I write stories, wanna make something of it? I thought not!
Sumerian
An~ The god of heaven.
Enki~ The god of the underworld and water.
Ishtar~ Mother-goddess of fertility and life.
Shamash~ Sun god and giver of laws.
Egyptian
Amon~ King of the gods.
Amon-Re~ Amon and Re united as one god.
Re~ Sun god.
Anubis~ God of mumification.
Atum~ The first of the gods. (created by self will.)
Bast(Bastet)~ Goddess of joy, music, and dancing.
Hathor~ Sky goddess, the mother and wife of Re.
Horus~ Son of Isis & Osiris.
Isis~ Protector of children.  Wife and sister of Osiris, mother of Horus.
Osiris~ God of the earth and vegetation.
Maat~ Goddess of truth and justice.
Sehkmet (Nesert, Sekhet)~ Was a goddess of war, death & destruction, later became the goddess of compassion and love. (created by the fire of Re's eye.)
Set~ God of evil, drought & destruction.
Seth~ Lord of upper Egypt.  Associated with desert and storms.
Thoth~ God of wisdom and writing.
Mayan
Balam~ The jaguar.
Chac~ The rain god.
Ix Chel~ The equivalent of Venus.
Kinich Ahau~ Sun god.
Zots~ The bat.
Aztec
Huehueteotl~ The fire god. Associated with creation.
Huitzilopochtli~ Aztec patron god.  Associated with the sun.
Tezcatlipoca~ All powerful and could see everything that happened in the world through his mirror.  Associated with night, the jaguar, sorcery, natural forces, human strength, weaknes, wealth, happiness, and sorrow.
Quetzalcoatl~ An ancient deity, and greatly revered.  Believed to have been the creator god.  Associated with rain and wind.
Tlaloc~ The rain god.
Tonantzin~ Goddess of fertility.
Tonatiuh~ A sun god.
Xipe Totec~ Fertility god.
Norse
Balder~ A hero god who dies and rises again.
Thor~ God of thunder. The god of law and order.  He carries the magick hammer, Mjollnir.
Freyr~ God of the world.
Freyja~ Goddess of magick, death & sex.
Tyr~ God of battle.
Loki~ The trickster.
Hel~ Goddess of death, daughter of Loki.
Odin~ God of war, magick, & death.
Hindu
Brahma~ The creator God, the principle of creation in the universe.  One of the Gods of the Triad.
Shiva~ God of fertility, death & destruction, the second member of the Triad.
Vishnu~ The preserver of life, the third member of the Triad.
Lakshmi~ Goddess of beauty and good fortune.  Also Vishnu's consort.
Krishna~ The playful 8th incarnation of Vishnu and the deity of the Bhagavad Gita.
Radha~ consort of Krishna.
Raam~ The 7th incarnation of Vishnu
Hanuman~ Monkey god, and devoted follower of Raam.
Aditi~ Mother of the gods.
Agni~ God of fire.
Brahman~ The Supreme, all pervasive entity of the universe.
Manasa~ Goddess of the snakes.
Manu~ ancestor of the human race.
Mitra~ God of light.
Nataraja~ Shiva in dance posture.
Nandi~ The bull, Shiva's vechile.
Durga~ Wife of Shiva and identified with Kali.
Kali~ Shiva's black consort & bloodthirsty Goddess of destruction.
Ganga~ Goddess, one of Shiva's wives and personification of the river Gange.
Pavati~ Goddess consort of Shiva.  She also takes the form of Durga and Kali.
Himalaya~ Abode of snow, father of Parvati.
Ganesha~ Shiva's elephant-headed son, Lord of Obstacles, God of good fortune.
Saraswati~ Goddess of Knowlege and consort of Brahma.
Soma~ Both a God and a drug; the elixir of life.
