| Name: well, my nickname is Hybrid, and I used to be called Ari (short for Ariane). Korean ~ Mee Jean, beautiful truth French ~ erm German ~ Libelle, word for 'dragonfly' Spanish ~ Neva, derived from the word for 'snow' DOB: I'm a Leo and an Ox. I'm half Korean (my better half, as I like to say - quote from The Goodfellows) and the tiniest bit Chinese. The other half is Scottish, British, Welsh, German, and we're investigating the claim of American Indian (would be pretty awesome if I am). Now you know why I'm called Hybrid. I live on the East Coast, USA. During my search for the perfect college, I made sure they were all either on the East or West Coast. I can not stand to live far from the ocean, though I am and always will be an East Coast Girl At Heart. Anyway, I'm in college now, living in the dorms. I used to live with my parents, Korean grandmother and sister. We had two dogs, one died in October '98, the other July '03. I miss them both terribly. I go nuts in snow. Hee hee. Ask anyone who knows me and they'll tell you I am not to be trusted with snow. I start snowball fights all the time (whenever there's snow) and I play dirty. I am also proud of my insanity. Anyone can tell you I'm a unique person and there will never be another like me. I take comfort in that knowledge. As I say to anyone who calls me weird/insane/crazy, "Thank you. I'm proud of that proven fact." I really like to read and write and I'm really into drama. Anything that stimulates my mind and I can learn from I like to do. History, world affairs, international relations, languages, English and such subjects I really like to study. I currently speak (in the order learned): Korean, English (well, DUH), French, German, Spanish, and Arabic. I graduated from high school as the first to do so knowing 5 languages, and having taken at least 2 years in all 3 languages my school offers. Not like you care, but to me, it's awesome. I love practicing tae kwon do, a Korean martial art. I started Feb. 27, 1999 and currently I am a red belt (ranking at my school is as follows: white, yellow, orange, green, purple, blue, brown, red, junior black, black). Due to a knee injury, I had to stop, and only got the go ahead to continue a week before I left for college. What timing. FAVORITES animal ~ alligator! American bald eagle, Siberian tiger, and more. Like I said, I love to read. food ~ noodles, dauk (Korean food. rice cake I think). I also LOVE fruit (especially Sunkist oranges, apples, strawberries), potatoes (especially scalloped), and Scottish shortbread. drink ~ ginger ale, milk, Pepsi, grapefruit juice candy bar ~ 100 Grand, Twix and anything fruity (Starbursts mainly, and yes I did vote for lemon) car ~ black Pontiac Trans am with silver racing stripes restaurant ~ Korean restaurants and Hard Rock Cafe. Mainly the one in Toronto. Good food, hot waiters, and right on Niagara Falls. So pretty. flower ~ the Korean national flower, Mugunghwa (Rose of Sharon in English I believe), sunflowers sports ~ soccer to you Americans and football to everyone else, American football, snowboarding, and tae kwon do most of all, though it's not really a sport. hobbies ~ read, write, sports, listen to music, chat online, theatre, tae kwon do number ~ 4 and multiples of 4 holiday ~ Christmas and Halloween (the only holiday you don't gotta dress up nice and visit relatives) actor ~ Patrick Stewart, Sean Connery (go Scots!), John Leguizamo, Billy Zane, Christien Anholt, Josh Hartnett, Orlando Bloom, Sean Bean...and my all-time favorite: Craig Parker.
