Serpens

November 11 - 19 & December 24 - 28

The head and tail of the constellation, Serpens, the Serpent of medicine and rebirth, are now two separate constellations, and can be seen in Summer in the northern hemisphere, held by Ophiuchus, the Serpent Bearer. the serpent's tail lies to the east of Ophiuchus, south west of Altair, the bright star in Aquila, the Eagle, which flies along the Milky Way. Unuk Elhai, the serpent's heart, is an orange star lying west of the serpent Bearer and due east of Arcturus in Bootes, the Bear Keeper. It can easily be seen during the Winter months from the southern hemisphere.
