| Ace has too much time on his hands...and has being playing too much Pokemon Collesium... Abra hit him upside the face, and told him to do something more constructive... So he wrote a random rant here...Enjoy; |

| Realising my last rant...kinda sucked. I decided to redo it. For starters: The starters! There are now a grand total of 9 starters(not including Pikachu(yellow), Espeon and Umbreon(Collessium starters). With Fire and Leaf coming out, and all nine being available to you thanks to Ru/Sa and Collessium, who should you have in your team? Stats wise: (in order of best to worst)(The stats are the highest possible value): HP: Totodile/Mudkip(304), Chikorita/Torchic(294), Bulbasaur(293), Squirtle(292), Treeko(284), Charmander/Cyndaquil(282) Attack: Mudkip(262), Totodile(251), Torchic(240), Cyndaquil(223), Chikorita(216), Bulbasaur(215), Squirtle(214), Treeko(207), Charmander(203) Defence: Squirtle/Chikorita(251), Totodile(249), Mudkip(218), Bulbasaur(215), Cyndaquil(203), Torchic(196), Treeko/Charmander(185) Special attack:Torchic(262), Treeko(251), Bulbasaur(250), Cyndaquil(240), Charmander(219), Squirtle/Mudkip(218), Chikorita(216), Totodile(205) Special defence: Chikorita(251), Squirtle(249), Treeko(229), Cyndaquil/Torchic/Mudkip(218), Totodile(214), Bulbasaur(229), Charmander(199) Speed: Treeko(262), Cyndaquil(251), Bulbasaur(250), Charmander(229), Chikorita/Torchic(207), Squirtle/Totodile(203), Mudkip(196) Overall total: Chikorita(1435), Bulbasaur(1429), Squirtle(1427), Totodile(1426), Treeko(1418), Cyndaquil/Torchic(1417), Mudkip(1416), Charmander(1317(99 stat poins difference!!!) Okay...so statistically: Grass types are the best, managing to get all their members in, before any member of the fire group show up, followed by water, who were let down in the stats by Mudkip, and in last place is fire. Who knew Charmander sucked so much? The above of course, isn't taking into account moves, so in order that they scored: techniques! GRASS! Chikorita: Learned moves: Tackle, Growl(usual starting moves...pretty obvious) Razor Leaf(lvl 8): An excellent grass move, only Solar Beam and Leaf Blade are stronger Reflect(lvl 12): Good when you're against Poison or flying Pokemon...other than that...no. Poisonpowder(lvl 15): Thanks to so many creatures having Syncronise, it's useless. Synthesis(lvl 22): Chiko can heal itself now! YAY! Good technique during sunny day Body Slam(lvl 29): No STAB, but an okay move. Light Screen(lvl 36): Pretty pointless. Fire and ice moves are all that'll be used against you, and Chikorita's going to die against those anyway. Useless. Safeguard(lvl 43): Now you can't be poisoned. But most people just go for the KO anyway Solarbeam(lvl 50): Now we're talking! HIGHLY recommended!!! Bulbasaur: Learned moves: Tackle, Growl(Same as Chikorita) Leech Seed(lvl 7): A continous drain attack. Erm...pretty lame, really, beats Absorb tho. Vine Whip(lvl 10): Not a bad grass attack, but razor lead's better. Poison Powder(lvl 15): See Chikorita Sleep Powder(lvl 15): Puts enemies to sleep. Thanks to Snore and Sleep talk, it's not quite as good as it used to be, and some Pokemon have the Early Bird and Insomniac characteristics... Razor Leaf(lvl 20): See Chikorita. Bulbasaur learns this too late for my liking. Sweet Scent(lvl 25): Makes enemies less evasive...kinda lame. Growth(lvl 32): Increases special attack...I believe... Synthesis(lvl 39): Bulbasaur can now heal himself. Later than Chiko, yet again. Solar Beam(lvl 46): FINALLY! Bulba learns something quicker than Chiko. And it's cool!!! Treeko: Learned moves: Pound/Leer(starting moves) Absorb(lvl 6): All of Treeko's grass attacks are absorbers. This is the basic one. Quick Attack(lvl 11): Treeko attacks with a slightly more powerful tackle. Pursuit(lvl 16): Treeko chases after Pokemon that are being retreated and hits them. Screech(lvl 21): Lowers enemy defence drastically. An okay stat changer...as they go. Mega Drain(lvl 26): A stronger absorb technique. Treeko hasn't got much going for him in grass STAB attacks, so this is as good as any...I guess. Agility(lvl 26): Ok, please explain why something as fast as Treeko would need a speed boost? Anything faster is probably evolved(or an Abra __), and will kill him anyway. Slam(lvl 36): Since Treeko has so few Grass attacks, Slam is a good technique to have. Detect(lvl 41): FINALLY! With this, Treeko can dodge any moves this turn. A MUST HAVE! Giga Drain(lvl 46): The most powerful absorb you can have, and the strongest grass attack that Treeko will learn, naturally. Again, this is a must have for all Treeko trainers. Water and Fire move lists to come... -Ace~of ABRA! |
