| The Chakra points are amazing energy points in the body that relate to different area's of our human existance and spiritual existance. The western culture typically acknoledge 7 chakra points. The first chakra being the ROOT chakra, and the last chakra being the CROWN chakra. Here I will explain each chakra, what color it vibrates to, and what it relates to. Then I will give examples of how to use meditation to cleanse and balance our chakras. Chakra #1 or the Root Chakra vibrates to the color red. It is located at the base of the spine in the pelvic region. This chakra relates to our basic survival and animalistic skills. This chakra is closely related to the "fight of flight" response. Chakra #2 or the Naval Chakra vibrates to the color orange. It is located about an inch below the naval. This chakra relates to our sense of physical pleasure, sexual enjoyment and basic desire to procreate. Chakra #3 or the Solar Plexus Chakra vibrates to the color yellow. This chakra is located between the bottom of the rib cage and the naval. This chakra is often unbalanced and blocked. This chakra is closely related to our sense of "gut feelings" or stress. It is often the cause of those tell-tale knots in one's stomache when we are under extreme stress. Often those suffering with chronic heartburn or indigestion can focus some positive energy in this area and experience some relief. Chakra #4 or the Heart Chakra vibrates to either the color green or pink. It is located just below the heart or right behind the heart. This chakra relates to our ability to give and receive love, to heal ourselves and others, and to be sympathetic and empathic. Often those who suffer from empathic overload are sometimes experiencing an over active heart chakra, and can buffer that with grounding, shielding and patchouli oil. Chakra #5 or the Throat Chakra vibrates to the color blue. It is located in the middle of our throat. This chakra relates to our ability to communicate with others and also listen to others as well as ourselves. Chakra #6 or the Third Eye Chakra vibrates to the color purple and is located above our eyes in the center of our forehead. It can sometimes be off-center a bit. Focus energy in that area to find where exactly yours is located. This chakra relates to our ability to see what cannot be seen with the physical eyes; auras, the spirit realm, guides, and to experience clairvoyance. Opening and enabling the third eye can be a long and often painful process. It cannot be rushed and will happen when it's meant to happen. Chakra #7 or the Crown Chakra vibrates to the color white and is located at the crown of the skull. This chakra relates to our direct connection to our Higher Power. It is an open connection to the spiritual. Through this chakra, we are able to experience astral projection, as well as increasing our level or spiritual awareness. It is important through psychic development to pay attention to our chakras and care for them. It is important that they be unblocked, vibrating to the right color and be open. The following is a part of a meditation to balance your chakra. Use it as part of your regular meditation rutine. Sitting quietly, focus your energy on one chakra at a time. Spending a few moments on each one. Begin wherever you like, most like to begin at the Root Chakra. Imagine this chakra opening like a large red magnolia. Imagine it beginning to spin. Take note of it's color, it's shape and it's feel. Does it feel bright red? Or is it dull? If it is dull or covered in any kind of dirt or muck, imagine an energy ball in front of you, and this energy ball will zap all the chakra's that are dirty or blocked and burn away that blockage. Repeat this same visualisation with all your chakra's and their colors. Red, orange, yellow, green/pink, blue, purple, white. Take note of each chakra's apearance and shape. Fix what is blocked or unbalanced. Finally when you are finished, imagine each chakra bloom retracting back into your body. it's not a good idea to leave the chakra's exposed, but rather safely protected, yet open. When your through with this, take a deep breath, and exhale any negativity from your body. Exhale a few more times and enjoy the peace you've found. |
