| Progression and Training Point System Walk Through Konnichiwa! I'm sure you've all heard about the newly made and repeatedly improved progression system here on The Sato. And I'm sure you've also heard that it can be rather confusing, but don't worry! Using this super-simple and descriptive step-by-step walk through, you'll understand it in no time! So, lets start at the very beginning, shall we? Follow this link, and you have the newly made Progression system at the click of a mouse. But how do you start making your character?! Don't worry. Lets start easy, okay? This system uses the Training Points (TP) system. TP are gained by doing missions for your Sato such as posting or drawing things out, by missions done in the Role Play such as rescues, and by training with your sensei and fighting with other players in the Role Play. If you had your character set up using the old system, you are able to gain a free amount of TP when you start to make your character using this system, as a consolation to having to remake them. Also, when you first make your character, you have 100 stat points to distribute among your stats. These are only for your stats. Please note that no AS starting stat may exceed 40. Personally I would suggest that at this step, you set up your stats and have everything balanced out; it'll make things easier for you in the long run. But before you put TP into your stats, make sure you know what all the stats mean: http://forums.thesato.com/showthread.php?t 551Now lets get this out in your stats. As suggested, I'll spread them out evenly.
Okay, now, the next step is figuring out how many Training Points you have from what you have done. You will use your Training Points to learn jutsu, increase the Stamina/Chakra you have so you can do those jutsu, and increase your stats as you grow stronger. But, we'll get to that later ![]() Lets see how many TP are earned for each individual mission you do. http://forums.thesato.com/showpost.php?p=121668&postcount As you can see, the number of Training Points you gain for a mission varies. Not only in the rank of the mission, but by what kind of mission it is. RP missions are usually given out by the person running a RP, while RP fight and RP training missions will be given out by a judge from the Yoinokuchi Division or the sensei you are training with. All of your Sato Missions can be found here To do this easily but also to still represent the process well, we shall conjure up a random mission record from a shinobi of The Sato and figure out how many TP they will have. X: 4 S: 1 A: 3 B: 1 C 2 D: 10 E: 8 Okay, so there are all of Raxell's Sato missions. Now, it's time for the math. But don't get too discouraged; it's really quite simple. Looking at this post again, we can see how many TP you gain from each mission. Well, shall we?
The wasn't so hard, now was it? Lets get through the rest now!
Okay! Now, you simply add up all the numbers to get your TP. 160 + 350 + 90 + 70 + 300 + 190 + 800 = 1960 So now that shinobi has 1960 Training Points to spend as he wishes. BUT! We're not done getting our TP count complete yet. There's one small step left, and it's super easy. =p So now we have 1960 as our grand total. As mentioned earlier, your Training Points are used to 'buy' your stats, your jutsu, and your stamina/chakra. Well, guess it's time to go shopping! | Increasing Your Stats Okay, so the last time we met you were hopefully able to master the art of Training Point calculations Now it's time to use all of those TP! All of the Training Points you don't use can of course be saved, but lets have fun using them, ne? Lets take a look here and focus on the first part. Before you run off screaming, calm down. ^^; It may look confusing, but it's really quite simple once you get a hang of it. In the beginning I said you would be able to distribute 100 points among your stats. In my example, I made all of my stats starting out at 10 to make it easier. As you can see in the first part of that post, there are different TP costs for each stat that you want to increase. Looking into the parenthesis, you see that if your stat is between 1 and 10, it will cost 2 of your Training Points to make one stat higher by one. So, lets say your Strength stat was at 3. If you want to raise it to 4, it will cost you 2 Training Points. Got it? Good ![]() It works the same way for the rest. Lets try to go a bit further just to ease anyone's nerves. Now pretend that you've gotten your Speed stat all the way up to 63. But, you want to raise it up to 66. That would mean you'd have to raise it by three stats. When your stat is between 61 and 70, making a stat higher by one costs 18 TP. Simply, you would multiply 18 by 3. 18 x 3 = 54 OH! Have I forgotten something? Okay, now that you know all of this works, I'll let you know that you don't have to do it all. Because come on, it would be pretty tedious to have to do this every single time you wanted to boost yourself. Thanks to one of the members on The Sato, you are now able to power yourself up simply by typing in a few numbers. Yeap, that's right, we now have a hosted calculator that does everything for you No subtracting, no multiplying, just old fun at going "What does this button do?"The Sato Stat Calculator Simply type in your current stat points for a category under that header, and to the right, type in what you want that stat to be. Then, it'll tell you how many TP that will cost. ![]() At the bottom of the calculator, you'll see your total TP cost. Don't forget to make sure you didn't go over your TP, and that you remember to subtract your total cost from the TP you had before. That's about the gist of it, folks. Now before you go and blow all your Training Points on stats, just remember that you have to use those same Training Points to get your jutsu and your chakra. | Increasing Stamina/Chakra Chakra is your Spiritual Energy in Naruto and here on TheSato, and is one of the most important things you need to execute jutsu. However, Stamina is needed to mold Chakra and your base Chakra is normally 0. You can convert this Stamina into Chakra at a 1:1 ratio, during a fight. So if someone has a Stamina of 400, and they convert half of it to Chakra, they'll have 200 Chakra. Simple, ne? Now, lets work on increasing your Stamina. But before that, lets see how much stamina you start out with. http://forums.thesato.com/showpost.php?p=121666 The first number is your Stamina, and the second is your Chakra. So it goes, Stamina/ Chakra. Block out the chakra number though, for now at least. You don't need that until you actually start to RP. Here you'll see how to increase your stamina. As an Academy Student you start out with a stamina of 30. As you can see there in that post, if your stamina is between 1 and 50, you only have to use one TP to increase your stamina by 2. Let's see it in action. Lets say you're a new Academy Student with the starting stamina of 30. However you want to increase your stamina to 36. That's 6 stamina points that you want to add to your current count. Remember, when your stamina is between 1 and 50, two stamina points cost 1 TP. So, you would divide 6 by 2 and figure out how many TP that is. 6/2 = 3. Subtract 3 from your former total count of Training Points, and there you go. You now have 36 Stamina points. Now, let's say you have your stamina all the way up to 50. The 51st stamina point will cost 1 TP. And so will the 52nd, and the 53rd, etc., etc. When your stamina is between 51 and 100, each stamina point will cost 1 TP. So say you have a stamina of 52, and want it to be 75. Simply, you would subtract 52 from 75 ... 75 - 52 = 23 And since each stamina point only costs one Training Point, you would just need to dish out 23 Training Points. Easy? I think so. Once your stamina reaches 100, increasing from 101 to 200 will cost 2 Training Points each stamina point. From 201 to 300, each stamina point will cost 3 Training Points. And then, the pattern continues. Get the picture? See, it really isn't that hard. Whenever you're done getting your stamina as high as you wish, you're ready to get your jutsu set up. First, multiply whatever amount of stamina you have by two, to get the amount of chakra you have. Chakra is used to do jutsu successfully. Last edited by LanderZ : 12-17-2005 at 09:04 AM. | |||||||||

| Buying Jutsu Jutsu are the attacks which you are able to use in the RP. Jutsu have different levels of powers and therefore different ranks. Each rank of jutsu has a different price of Training Points, and requires the user to use a different amount of their chakra. As I said, each rank of jutsu requires a different amount of Training Points to get the slot for it. Note the term Jutsu Slot. Most jutsu can be learned instantly, while others will be marked when they need you to purchase the jutsu slot first. The jutsu slot costs the same as the jutsu does. However using your TP on a jutsu that needs a slot means it will need to be taught to you in the RP. Confused just a bit? Take a look here at the third part to see the cost of each jutsu or jutsu slot. As you can see, an E-rank jutsu requires you to spend 5 Training Points. If there's an E-rank that needs to be taught to you in the RP, then you will still need to just spend 5 Training Points on the slot. Lets get a conjured up jutsu count from someone, to see just how we calculate the Training Points needed. This is done in the same way we calculate our stats. Here are the jutsu of a shinobi on TheSato:
Alrighty. Now to do the math.
Now, simply add all of your products together. 50 + 80 + 140 + 300 + 400 + 280 + 100 = 1350 So, in order to buy all of those jutsu, you would need 1350 Training Points. Everyone will have to "start over" with their jutsu selections. So in order to make up for this in a way, you can add the following number of jutsu to your list freely. However, those jutsu cannot be one of the jutsu that are marked with having to be taught them in the RP. Here are the jutsu you can add ![]()
