Background

As you may already know Halo 2 is a futuristic first-person shooter, where you have to defend the human race against the Covenent. After you succesfully destroy the ring-world, Halo, you then travel back to Earth to find out that the Covenant have already begun their attack. For further background info, go the the Halo review.

Anything I know about Halo 2

Halo 2 will nothing short of awsome. New features will be available and the Halo experience will blow your mind.

First of all, abilities. What you have heard is true, dual-wielding of guns is possible. You will be able to hold two guns at a time, but only the sensible ones. Large weapons like the assault rifle and the sniper rifle will be not be dual wielded. Small weapons like the needler, pistol, and plasma pistol you can. Remember when in multiplayer, two people (enemies of each other) try to enter the same vehicle, the fastest one makes it, that will be no more. If that ever happens, they both can enter the vehicle and if it was a warthog, the gunner can gun down the driver. To top that off, you will be able to pull people out of their places in vehicles as well.

There will be new weapons, along with the ones in Halo. One that I know is a smg with what I call to be caseless ammo, or no reloading (from what I've heard). There also will be a new plasma rifle(sniper?), new rifle that has a scope, and finally, the one hit-kill energy sword.

Single player mode for Halo 2 is what most people are waiting for. The story for the predecessor was awsome, but will this one top it? I don't know, because not much information has been released about the story. Al that I know is that the Covenent have found Earth and are conducting a massive invasion probably to wipe out humans.

There is not much else that I can tell you, except that you should try to dig up some more information.
