| Harriet Ann was born to Wm & Lillie Sheat 4June1897. She married Harvey Rockwood 23Aug1915. They had two children, Bill and Doris. Harriet worked as a supervisor in a sewing factory that made coats. Family called her "Hattie"; she was known for her particular grooming and immaculate house keeping. On 5Dec1952 she married John Waters Perry (3Mar1895 - 26May1982) who preceeded her in death. She lived in a trailor on her daughter's land her twilight years and died of a stroke on April 25, 1988. She is buried next to John, St Vincent De Paul Cemetery, Rogers, Arkansas. She once told that her philosophy of life could be summed up in a saying on a plaque which hung in her kitchen. It read "There's so much good in the worst of us and so much bad in the best of us that it hardly behoves any of us to talk about the rest of us." |
