Well, if you missed it, Virginia Tech beat UCF 49-28. That, of course, means that I was incorrect in my �Upset of the Week� pick.
After giving up 28 unanswered points, UCF displayed the type of resiliency I mentioned and scored 21 of their own unanswered points.
Just as the Knights were making it interesting, their efforts were crushed as the Hokies scored another touchdown and then returned an interception 45 yards for yet another touchdown.
A touchdown apiece for each team would close out the scoring and the Virginia Tech Hokies would be victorious.
Credit the Hokies � they came out and just dominated the game. Unless you were a Hokie fan, it was a tough game to watch. In fact, the Golden Knights looked like a deer caught in the headlights rom the opening kickoff.
The Hokies took advantage early and never really looked back. I don�t know what I was thinking making that pick �
After taking in all the games of the week, it�s clear I should have picked Northern Illinois over Maryland.
I guess there�s always next week.
