Ron filled an important off season necessity: acquiring a shortstop with a reliable glove and arm. The kid can also hit and run the bases well. Ron is steady in that he does not let things get to him on the baseball field. This is an important attribute for the shortstop position.
As a high schooler, Ron was a three year starter/letterman for Woodland Hills, the 2000 section champions. As a legion player, in 2001 his team was the Region 6 American Legion champions.
Ron started his collegiate career by knocking six hits in his first nine at bats. The coaching staff expects this type of performance from a player of Ron's ability.
