| The Blue Devils moved into second place with two road victories at CCAC Boyce. Mike Berwick pitched three no hit innings before losing his edge in the opener. Berwick was credited with his third win of the season in the 10-7 victory. In the nightcap, Curt Halsey pitched a one-hitter in only his second appearance of the season. The Blue Devils won the game 10-0 in six innings. |

| PSU BEAVER 10 CCAC Boyce 7 The most important inning in the game for the Blue Devils was the five run fourth inning. Chris Thumm opened the fourth inning with a basehit and was moved to second on Brad Dean's walk. Curt Halsey knocked Thumm in with a single and Greg Wengryn followed with a run scoring single. Freshman outfielder Matt Neiger capped the inning with a two run triple. The inning gave the Blue Devils an 8-0 lead that would stick. Two insurance runs were added in the fifth inning on Mike Spisak and Curt Halsey's doubles. The runs would give the Blue Devils breathing room as Boyce campus put up multiple run innings in the fourth, fifth, and sixth. Chris Thumm got the call in the seventh inning and he promptly turned the lights out on the Saints. Thumm and Halsey were the only Devils with two or more hits. BOX SCORE |
| PSU BEAVER 10 CCAC Boyce 0 What started as a struggle early on for the Blue Devil offense, was turned into a fourteen-hit, ten-run assault in the final innings. CCAC Boyce pitcher Jim McClure kept the Devil offense off balance until the fourth inning when the Devils finally got on the board. Andy Fry provided the run with his first collegiate slam. The Blue Devils biggest offensive explosion came in the sixth inning. The Blue Devils insured a mercy rule win with six runs in the sixth. Mike Berwick, Brad Dean, Greg Wengryn, Matt Neiger, Ron Glass, and Andy Fry each singled in the inning. Fry finished the day 4-4 with two RBI's. The story of the game, however, was Curt Halsey who pitched a one-hitter in only his second outing. Halsey has not allowed a run in 11 innings and has only allowed four hits. BOX SCORE |
