1. Watch Movies on your Pocket PC

                                      *

Only attempt this if you have sufficent memory on your Pocket PC ie at least 128mb

Step 1 Download a media player to your Pocket PC. Windows Media Player which is included in all versions of PocketPC 2002, only plays certain types of files mainly MP3's,so you need to get a seperate one. The player that I recommend - Pocket TV which is Free .Install and activate, activation involves providing your e-mail address to the website, who will in turn send you a activation code to your mailbox.

Step 2 When you have a file to view download TMPGnc. You will use this program to convert and reduce the file for viewing.

Step 3 Open TMPGnc, do not use the setup wizard .Select Video soucre, you should browse and select the file you want to convert,click to open, the other 3 options should automaticaly fill in. Then click settings, you will have 6 tabs to choose from:

Video : Change the size setting from 320x240 ---to--- 320x144 ( this refers to the screen size )
Advanced : Leave unchanged
GOP Structure : Leave unchanged
Quantize Matrix : Leave unchanged
AudioChange
             Sampling Frequency - 44100 hz
             Chanel mode - Mono
             Bitrate - 64 kbits/sec
System : Leave unchanged

Then click start, when it is finished you simply transfer the new converted file to you Pocket PC for viewing. The above setting only serve as a rough guide to the settings. Others may/will work but these are the ones I currently use.

* The Lord of the Rings is wayyyyy to big for Pocket PC unless you have the 5GB PC-card hard drive with expansion jacket!!!!!!
