After looking endlessly for a site purely deicated to Sydney East PSSA Sport I found there was nothing and I think there should be a website! So here I am building one only for the 2001 Junior rugby league players who were selected into the Sydney Met East Open Side to play in the State Knockout in Oberon June 19th 2001.

Well up in the country in the small town of Oberon where the championship was held it had almost snowed as we had a high chill factor and hard conditions to play in. As we adapted to the temperature we witnessed some quality football by all players from all teams in this hard competition. The first couple of games were spectacular for our Sydney East boys. Eventually becoming the
UNDEFEATED STATE CHAMPIONS in three days of strenuous rugby league. They deserved it as they were far and away the best team up there, with every player giving it his all they were a magnificient team to represent the Sydney East Region. The most valuable player in this team was NaPoto his powereful running up of the ball saw him unstoppable near the try line or even 10 metres from his oppositions try line he could make something out of basically nothing a thrill to watch. We are lucky he was playing with us and not against us. His size and strength a major help to the state title he was always targetted and under pressure to perform and he came through every time out smarting, out runnning, and out lasting every boy on the paddock in the opposing team. He will surely be a player of the future. It was in no way a one man show though every team member derserves and individual wrap. And they will get one in this site. Congatulations to all members of the team, the coaches, and the parents which without their support the players wouldn't of been there.
