operation table madeup of square c/s section:-
The basic idea behind this project was to enhance the strength of the common operation table frame manufactured in the firm where I was working,besides this the joint was having the problem of play in existing product. so there was a need of frame and levers which may allow to fit the good length bushings in the sections. In the existing products we were using the rectangular c/s sections and its fabricated rectangular frame. Levers were made up of iron strips.In this context we decided to use a big square c/s at middle instead of the frame made from rectangular small c/s. besides this the levers were also being made from a rectangular c/s. so increasing the strength enormusly.
high strength simple hospital bed :-
Here the concept was same that is to increase the strength but it was in case of the simple hospital bed. besides this that the consideration has to give to the foldability of the bed so that the transportation costs can be reduced.actually the frame we came with is basically developed from the concept of two inverted arc facing each other thus making the crass section strong as the moment of inertia at the centre inreases a lot. the picture shows the prototype made & tested.Also the siderailings are so designed that it hides inside the frame nicely.
braking system for swivelling caster wheels:-
It was observed by us that patients get disturbed whenever the ICU bed gets moved, which is likely to happen whenever guests comes & sits at corner of the bed or if the safaiwala comes & moves the bed due to the caster wheels. What happens exactly with the conventional braked caster wheels that is they block only rolling of the wheels but they dont lock the swivelling of the caster wheels. So does the bed still moves due to the swivelling or free eccentricity of the caster wheels. Here we attempted to try to block the motion of the caster as well as the swivelling so permitting the firm rocking of the ICU bed leg.The picture at right shows the various concept developed by me.
Middle cap opener for 20/40 ltrs plastic cans :-
Have you ever tried to open a push fitted plastic cap that comes below top threaded cap in 20/40 ltrs. plastic cans ? believe me it is a real challenge to your patience. This is why I gone for design of this cap remover.The first concept chosen was the two blades which are sharp but dont cuts, attached to a bent rod and at angle so that it can be inserted around the lip of the cap, so that you can pull it out. And the second was to make a gripper which has sharp tooth & grips the cap from inside so that you can pull out the cap. Anyway both the solutions tried out & both worked.The first one is more preferable because it dont torns the cap so that you can reuse it.
Compact & folding staircase for small shop owners :-
It may be observed in small shops how much space is blocked by the staircase where the space has very much value.Especially the space is very importent if you have small place & you are located in crowded area.Here was my an attempt to solve the problem.I was having a concept of a product which offcourse is very simple kind of staircase. Here the shaircase case can be folded in manner that it can becomes slim & flushes to adjacent wall of the shop so that whenever you want unfold it & use it. In this first steps folds & then whole staicase can be turned & flushed to wall creating the useful space.
Groundnut sowing machine :-
Have you ever observed that how painful it is sow groundnuts ? A person digs a small in ground and then puts two or three groundnuts in it & follows same for every 8 to 16 inches interval. You can imagine how exausting it may be, infact i was wondering how somebody is not selling the machine in market which will sow the groundnut. This is how I started to work on this concept & came with this model as shown in right.. This works on very simple principle, the tooth at front digs in line following a spout which drops two or three groundnuts which is indexed by a index plate above it. The certain quantity of the groundnuts can put in top plastic barrel.There follows a showel pulling clay over the line dug. |
