WHAT IS THANKSGIVING?

Thanksgiving Day was first celebrated in early Colonial Times in New England. After the first harvest was completed by the Plymouth colonists in 1621, Governor William Bradford proclaimed a day of Thanksgiving, shared by colonists and neighboring Native Americans. In 1863 President Abraham Lincoln appointed a day of Thanksgiving, and since then each president has issued a Thanksgiving Day proclamation,
generally designating the fourth Thursday of November as a holiday. Thanksgiving is a statutory holiday in Canada, celebrated on the second Monday in October.

WHAT IS A HOME?

A home is where there's laughter, Where there's sharing and there's giving; Where happiness is harmony, and life is more worth living;
Where people try to understand what others say and do, a home is anywhere you are--
As long as love's there, too.

Thanksgiving is a good day for putting into words
things seldom said but often felt--
Don't be afraid to tell your family and friends
how much you love them. You might not have the
chance to tomorrow.....remember.....
"LEARN TO LOVE ONE ANOTHER!"

Thanksgiving seems like the perfect opportunity
to thank all my friends from the
CALL FOR HELP forum
who have helped me throughout the year.
Even though I have never met any of them
formally, so many of them feel like family to me.
I don't know what I would've done without their help.
Thanks to all of you! I love you all for being there
for me, and for so many others too.
