FactsStudies show that 76% of our nation's senators, 71% of the men listed in Who's Who in America, and 85% of the Fortune 500 chief executives are fraternity members. All but two of the U.S. Presidents, since 1825, have been fraternity men, and 63% of the U.S. Presidents' cabinet members, since 1900, have been fraternity men. A U.S. Government study shows that 71% of all fraternity men persist to graduation, while just over 50% of all non-fraternity men graduate. A U.S. Office of Education report shows that less than 2% of the average college man's expenses go to fraternity expenses. Since 1910, 84% of the Supreme Court Justices have been Greek. The first general fraternity was organized in 1750. |
