The pump action bullpup shotgun was shipped from the factory with a modified choke barrel. The shotgun will accept both 2 3/4 and 3" magnum ammuntion. Some versions have a lug for the US M7 bayonet.
As of 2003 this model is discontinued and out of production according to the Mossberg website.
Gun Parts Corporation sells spare parts for various Mossberg shotguns, including replacement bullpup stock parts. These stocks will fit the Maverick Arms 88, and the Mossberg Model 500 & 590 shotguns.
