This kit is compatible with stamped Receiver AK rifles. Milled receiver AK models require a small hole be drilled through the rifle receiver - this allows room for the trigger wire. Unless you plan to permanently modify your AK - plan to use a stamped receiver AK rifle with this kit.
To remain in compliance with US law, the AKU-94 Conversion System replaces certain standard AK components with USA made parts. These include the hammer, trigger, disconnector, magazine follower, and magazine floorplate.
One drawback to this kit is that it does not include any provision for installing a scope. A seperate scope mount is available for $150 US. In my opinion, the K-Var AKU-94 bullpup stock would be more popular if this scope mount was included in the standard kit.
