GIAT Industries FAMAS F1 Rifle
The FAMAS rifle has been the standard issue infantry rifle for French military forces since 1980.

The military FAMAS has the option of semi-automatic single shot, three round burst, or fully automatic fire.  Like the Steyr AUG, the rifle can be configured for left or right handed ejection by changing internal bolt components.

During the 1980's a small number of semi-automatic FAMAS rifles were imported into the United States by Century Arms International.  When offered for sale they now command a premium price $8000+ US for a NIB rifle.

Originally the FAMAS used a unique straight 25rd magazine.  Recent versions have been changed to accept a standard M16 30rd magazine.

Pictured below are various versions of the FAMAS G2 available from GIAT Industries.
