I walked out the door and stepped into the sun,
Another long and trecherous day like the last one.
The hot glowing orb beat down on my skin
As I searched for the place where I would begin.
I spotted the place which I would clear first,
Once that was done I had developed a thirst.
I downed some cold water then went back outside,
Though truly I wanted to run off and hide.
I went down and cleared the next two in line,
My shirt was moist and would cling to my spine.
I went to the bench which sat by my treasure,
The ice-cold water cooled off my face...what pleasure!
The heat was intense and the humidity bad,
Busines this Sunday was driving me mad.
The whole day dragged on at a sluggish pace,
Working as the sweat dripped down my face.
Working non-stop until my body was numb,
I looked at my watch...break time has come!
