Spring is the season of beauty
Filled with birds, blooming flowers and trees;
When baby animals run around free
And the environment sets you at ease.
Spring is the season of life
Filled with days of sunshine and rain;
With yardwork to be done with your wife
And decks to be painted or stained.
Spring is the season of love
When animals mate and reproduce;
From creatures like the rabbit and the dove
All the way to the mighty blue spruce.
Though the seasons may alter
My love will not falter.
Summer is the season of heat
And humidity ravages the land;
When families cook out to eat
And travel to play in the sand.
Summer is the season of swimming
With fun-filled days at the pool;
We are pale at summer's beginning
But by the end are sunburned fools.
Summer is the season of freedom
When an abundance of kids can play;
Though its end will eventually come
Those memories will forever stay.
Though the seasons may alter
My love will not falter.
Autumn is the season of harvest
When farmers bring in their crop;
The beauty of spring will soon be missed
As the leaves begin to drop.
Autumn is the season of moderation
With no intense heat, cold or rain;
Leaves take upon discoloration
But one day will regrow again.
Autumn is the season of fading
When green becomes brown, orange or red;
The birds will soon cease their singing
And migrate before all is dead.
Though the seasons may alter
My love will not falter.
Winter is the season of cold
And blustery wind gives a chill;
Inside the house stories are told
While snow forms little white hills.
Winter is the season of white
When snow covers the grass;
The time of darkness overcomes the light
As we wait for the season to pass.
Winter is the season of beginning
When the year starts anew;
We try to stray from past sinning
The complete and entire year through,
Though the seasons may alter
My love will not falter.
Nothing around us will stay
The same as it was before;
So when we are old and gray
I shall love you even more.
Some say all things turn around
But I know that is a lie;
This love that I have will surround
My heart 'till the day I die.
Many things could tear us apart
But I won't let them get in my way;
For a million years you'll be in my heart
And that is how it'll always stay.
Though the seasons may alter
My love will not falter.
