The stars are out and the moon is bright,
For a tranquil walk by the lake tonight;
The water is calm with lights all around
As we cross the cold bridge without a sound.

Reflections in the lake from a cloudless sky,
The moonlight reflecting in your gorgeous eyes;
That beautiful smile upon your face,
All of these things make my heart race.

There by your side with the wind in our hair,
A mutual feeling that both of us share;
Within my thoughts you're all that I see,
This feeling of love has set my heart free.

Love in my past was simply a lie,
yet sometimes so real that it made me cry;
Never before has it been like this
Having someone to hold, someone to kiss.

To do simple things like the holding of hands,
Watching a movie or listening to bands;
To experience the joy that someone else brings,
Now I can do all these wonderful things.

A writer at heart with a poetic mind,
That is one thing that soon you shall find;
If ever you ask what I want to do,
All that I want is to be there with you.
