Dear Brother:
What words have I to say?
Everything you've done for me
I'll never be able to repay
Perhaps with this rhyme? We'll see.
I remember when I first met you
My soul cloaked in the shadow of sorrow
Yet you were there the whole way through
Until I found my voice and hope of tomorrow
Your words hold the fiery spirit of inspiration
Written in ink, yet louder than any spoken
I see the passion, the flair, in concentration
I can't do the same, but take this small token
I dedicate this piece in your name
It's not very good, but I hope it will suffice
I think inside, at heart, we're the same
With a bond stronger than fire or ice
Dear Brother:
I don't know how to speak my heart
But maybe with these small words two
I can find a way to start
I just wanted to say "Thank you".
