PART 2: The Search Begins
[Enter Spek in a Black Magic Shop, with a large Black Mage behind the counter]
SPEK: Have you seen a thief in here, he stole the gold of my traveling companion.
MAGE: What do I look like, security?
SPEK: No, I was just...
MAGE: Are you here to buy something or not?
SPEK: No, I HAVE NO GOLD! That is why I must find this thief.
MAGE: Just who do you think you are, barging in here demanding answers when you are not even going to buy anything?
SPEK: I am...
MAGE: Just GET LOST! Dont ever come in here ever again. You are a disgrace to the honorary class of Black Mage, so bug off!
SPEK: (Aside) If only I hadnt used that LIT3 spell, Id show him a thing or two. Hell see, I shall get revenge!
[Spek exits Black Magic Shop and enters the White Magic Shop next door, wherein an old White Mage sits behind the counter]
WMAGE: Welcome young man, how may I help you?
SPEK: Have you seen a thief in here, he stole the gold of my traveling companion?
WMAGE: No sir, I have not.
SPEK: Oh. Well then, thank you for your time.
[Enter Psiko, the Red Mage]
SPEK: Who the hell are you?
PSIKO: I am...THE RED MAGE! [Cheesy pose and red lens flare] The name is Psiko.
SPEK: And you are here in this magic shop because...?
PSIKO: I can use both White and Black Magic.
SPEK: No way! Howd ya manage that!?
PSIKO: Well, using my charismatic charm and incredible knowledge of the stat pool, I simply took a hindrance on the variety of spells I could learn in either school of magic, thus allowing me to use both types of magic!
SPEK: I thought only women could learn White Magic?
PSIKO: Well, err...I had to bend a few rules in order to achieve this.
SPEK: Like what?
PSIKO: Id rather not say...its quite embarrassing.
SPEK: Oh come on, it cant be that bad.
PSIKO: If you knew the ritual those young ladies went through, youd know. I havent walked quite the same since then. Luckily, I have since then regained the dexterity penalty I suffered from the rite. (To White Mage) Id like to purchase the spell of CURE, please.
WMAGE: Ok, here you go. [Hands Psiko a scroll, and he pays with gold]
[Enter Rose, the White Mage, walking out of the store from the back room]
SPEK: Whoo boy, theres a hottie-mage!
[Exit Rose, with Spek and Psiko following soon thereafter. Spek hurries and catches up to her]
SPEK: Hold up, baby. Why you in such a rush? How about you and me go back to my place and get to know each other? [Rose smacks Spek with a large, iron hammer, and he crashes into a wall] Ouch! I think she likes me! [Spek catches back up to her]
ROSE: What now? Cant you see Im busy?
SPEK: Dont act all shy and innocent, you know you cant resist my awesome magical prowess and strikingly handsome looks. [Rose smacks Spek again with the hammer and he flies into another wall] Yup, she digs me. [Spek catches up to her again]
ROSE: Persistent, arent you?
SPEK: Just call it the magnetic attraction between us driving me to you. I have amazing stamina for such a little guy. Youre guaranteed pleasure when you get on the Spek-express ALL...NIGHT...LONG, baby! [Rose bashes Spek with a hammer again, and this time he flies through one wall and crashes into another] Yup, an irresistible attraction drives her back to me every time. [Spek catches back up to here, this time slowly, and with much difficulty]
ROSE: Why cant you see that I dont like you?
SPEK: Umm...uh...well...you see...I actually am looking for two other candidates to come with my friend and I to save the world from Chaos. I kinda thought your White Magic skills would come in handy along the way.
ROSE: Oh, well why didnt you say that in the first place? Of course Ill come along to help save the world.
PSIKO: Hey, wait a minute! I have White Magic too.
ROSE: I thought only women could use White Magic?
PSIKO: Well...I kinda went through some of the rites in order to have access to most of the White Magic spells, thus maximizing my advantages and minimizing my weaknesses.
ROSE: You mean you got...
PSIKO: Id rather not talk about it.
SPEK: Well then, lets go find Tracer and become Light Warriors.
[Exeunt]
