"This tale I'll tell ye all is of a young man the age of ten and seven. Thou shalt hear of his latter years in life so far, for 'tis too long a tale to start from the beginning, and I have not the time for such a lengthy tale. No then, this tale starts..."
...Just a few years back, back in the middle of his sophomore year of high school. At this point in time David Wiley was still a pretty shy person, and was not very outgoing or social. Not being involved in sports, the only thing he was involved in was marching band. He had gotten the part of bass drums and endured through a long season of football games while marching with the large bass drum. That passed by and later on, once winter was in full swing, he got an offer from one of his good friends in his English 2 class to join in their game in which the depths of imagination are explored, a game which they call Dungeons and Dragons.
"Hey, isn't that when I got created?" asks the Ninja who carries a seven-handed Katana.
"Yes, I believe so. You were the one who started it all for his experiences and allowed him to create us, as well as the world of Mystonia. Now, where was I? Oh yes, I remember..."
...Throughout the winter and the spring David learned the games of Dungeons and Dragons and Magic: The Gathering. At this point he was still a beginner, still learning how to play both of these games. About this time the group brought in even more fresh blood into the campaigns, and soon...
"He created me, right!" interrupts the Fighter with the empty scabbard.
"Of course, you were his second memorable character he made, even though ye never survived yer first adventure."
"Yeah, that giant killer rabbit should've been killed. If only the group would've listened to me! The bloody fools stole my sword from me!"
"Right, now I'll continue. After the perils with the giant killer rabbit, he..."
...Began to learn how to be a Dungeon Master, so he could run his own campaigns and not have another event like the killer rabbit ruin his morale and slay his treasured creations. Soon his junior year was in full swing and he had troubles finding much time to balance school and work, and still have time to work on his Dungeons and Dragons realm. Despite that fact, he greatly enhanced his Magic-playing skills and soon became one of the top players in school with killer decks built for singles competition. And in October, he achieved amazing success as a cashier at Wal-Mart and was awarded the Four Star Cashier honors, and that was only in his first month working there! Winter brought about the second semester of his junior year, and he got enrolled in a class which he had much anticipation for. This class was Fiction, Fantasy and Folklore with one Mr. Chris Snethen. By then David had gotten tired of his job as a cashier at Wal-Mart, and in March he had started requesting to be transferred to become a stockman. He finished out his memorable junior year of high school and finally got his wish to become a stockman by the end of May. His struggles with the intense heat and humidity throughout the summer seemed to be never-ending, but allowed free-time at home to develop even more of his campaign world, and got involved in online message boards, where he met a group of Dungeons and Dragons players..."
"And he created me!" interrupts the Ninja/Ice Mage with a delightful grin on his face.
"Yes, he created you, as well as me. He used both of us in online Role-Playing with other people, but soon got tired of the pathetic job of role-playing that ninety-five percent of the members there did..."
...So he soon got together with his closest Dungeons and Dragons buddies and created his own message board, where the members actually know how to role-play and don't use god-like characters with ungodly powers. By this time, his realm had been dubbed as Mystonia, and the Silver Sun Inn became infamous throughout the land. He developed new character classes, and their descriptions, and then..."
"He created me, I am the newest one of them all!" blurted the Ember Mage.
"Yes, and you still are in the process of being completely finished, and are viewed as one with much potential to be a great character. Anyways..."
...School started back up again for David after a rough summer working at Wal-Mart. He has no regrets, though, because he made many new friends and has become a lot more socially outgoing since he began working there, and this summer got him in the best shape he has ever been in. And that brings us to now, where he asked me to portray the story of his life as only I know it. His work as Dungeon Master is coming along very slowly, and he has high hopes to be done before winter starts up. Yet he also realizes he needs to apply himself in school this year more than ever because of his heavy schedule, but is looking forward to a great semester of writings in his Creative Writing class, and will hopefully be able to further his creations in that class and not have strict limits on what is written about.
"Aye, 'twas a good tale ye shared with us there. Is there any more to tell?" asks the Fighter with the empty scabbard.
"Nay, that 'tis all for now, but only time will tell how well this story will continue, and how it may end. Now I must take my leave. Ye all have a fine evening on this snowy winter night here in Mystonia." With that, the Bard stood up and walked over to the door, pausing to slip the hood of his red cloak back over his head, and walked out the door into the snowy depths of the lands of Mystonia...
