			In my painting  I am continuing with themes which have held my interest for more than a quarter of a century.  In making this painting I have continued to draw my source material from things remembered, observed and imagined,  referring back to my sketchbooks which span over three decades. While this work is personal, drawing on childhood memories and present day observations I accept that no two observers will see it in the same manner and that the painting is open to as many interpretations as its title 'Gulf''.
