| Lion King - I went with Carissa to go see the Lion King musical 4/27/02. We both thought it was pretty good. I liked it much better than the Beauty & the Beast Musical. The kids that played the young Nala & Simba were really cute. The one character that kinda got on my nerves was Zazu (the bird). Although Carissa said that was her favorite character. So its a toss up on that one. Some of the costumes were really cleaver, while others were kinda ughh! It was a very good performance - I'd pay money to see it again! Our seats were great too, Center/Orch section Row T. I couldn't have asked for better seats. I recommend you go see this - its pretty good! Rating: 8.5 |

| Madre's Resturant: I went today for my 5 year annivarsary luncheon. It was all on the company. 100%! It was my 1st time trying out Cuban food - Prior to going there today, I had read some articles about Madres that didn't do that place any justice. We'll I actually thought it was really nice. It was as "fancy" as I thought it was going to be. The portions were pretty good too. Service level was nice - except we had this one buss boy that was always asking if we were done & if he could take the plate away.Other than that - the place was great. The prices weren't as high as the article had claimed. The lunch menu ranged from $15 - 25. I ordered this steak that was put in batter & fried, not sure what the name of it was....it came with rice & black beans & some fried bananas. The decor of the place was kinda girly, but the owner is J-Lo, so what do you expect. its definately a great "Date" place. They also have a patio area to dine in. Valet parking was only $3.50. I would definately go back... Rating: 8 |
Identity : Starring John Cussac (I dont know if thats right) Ray Liotta - Its pretty good - I thought it was a horror movie, but its actually like a suspense, Has a real good story line to it - I'd reccomend it! Rating: 6.5 X2 - Hugh Jackman, Halle Barry - This is the second part of X-Men! I used to read the X-Men comics back in the day, I loved this movie! You dont need to see the 1st one to understand this~ I thought it kept the whole story line that the comics had! Great! Rating: 7 Matrix Reloaded - Keanu Reeves. Sucked! There was no story at all! There are those who argue that they went to see the special effects~ well, theres not many new effects in this one that they didnt already use in the first one. The only part I did like was the Freeway scene & that was about maybe 5 minutes of the movie - so if you wanna sit thru 2hours of BS to see the 5 minute scene - be my guest. Rating: 3 |
