Poor ol' Chipp. He spent his entire life addicted to all kinds of body-destroying drugs and couldn't seem to get out of his weird mafia gang. Then one day he popped a pill too many and conked out on the floor. His organisation though he was a tard, so they decided to kill him when a guy named Tsuyoshi appeared outta nowhere, took him away and turned him into a ninja. All well and good, but that same gang for some reason saw it as their duty to chase down this Tsuyoshi person and kill him (even though he was a ninja master?), which pissed Chipp off and made him enter a fighting tournament to... form his own gang and take the mafia down... retarded, no? Well anyway, aside from being the very epitome of a full-fledged JapFag (he's American, but he goes round telling people that he's Japanese and even speaks the language like a native), he's got some of the more cheesy one-liners in the game: "Go home!", "Beat it!", all spoken in a nasty fake Japanese accent. I know I've got a thing for Germany, but I don't go round yelling crap at people in a fake German accent, I just can't do it. He's also real quick on his feet. There was this one time when he walked up to Baiken and said some crap about how he had "Japanese feet", so she sliced them off and took a look at them, only to find that all that fast movement had given him like the worst case of athlete's foot in the world. It took Master Tsuyoshi hours to sew them back on, and then Chipp's rehab to get them working again made him forget all about his narcotics. Evidently, Baiken's got more uses than just showing Bridget how to act manly. Anyway...
Best Moment: MORE TRAINING!!!!!!!!
Chipp defeats Justice in the original Guilty Gear (if you play as him anyway), looks up to the sky and sees his master's face in the moon. Chipp realises that maybe kicking the living crap out of Justice wasn't such a good way to form a gang after all, and decides "I NEED MORE TRAINING!!". So he runs off to train. Then, shortly afterwards, he somehow ends up in a fight with Dizzy. He beats her, runs off and yells "I NEED MORE TRAINING!!". A total fitness freak, if not slightly retarded. Funny as hell.
Rating: 7. He's like, insanely fast and can jump three times, and most of his moves are easy to link up into combos, plus his weapon's really cool; a little blade that attaches to his wrist. But he's a complete idiot. He likes to pick fights with Venom because even though his master was killed by the Mafia, he thinks perhaps the Assassins' Guild are exactly the same thing, so he picks on their leader. What a moron.
Theme songs: Since the very first game, he's had "Suck A Sage", then in #Reload he had this crappy little tune named "Child Of The Wild". I don't know what they were thinking, but Suck A Sage has a screwed up name, in spite of being one of the most awesome three-minute guitar solos I've ever heard. In every version of the song it plays the same tune for the first run through, then goes totally ad-lib on the second one. Even I-no's theme songs didn't do this; ironic because she was the rocker of the bunch. Ah well. Each version of Suck A Sage kicks way too much ass, and I can't really pick a favourite. Now then, Child Of The Wild is crap. Full stop, end of story. I guess most of the characters that used to have awesome theme songs (Potemkin, Chipp, Faust, Baiken, Venom) got screwed in that game because their respective tunes sound like ass. Plus they're all synthesised.
