Ben's ute is slower than me - pure and simple (and he's not very pissed off about that either, may I add). 12.5 at 113mph has been it's best run to date, but all did not seem right. The thing dynoed over 500hp so an easy 11 should have eventuated. He finally decided to follow the crowd and replace the Holley strip mechanical pump with an electrical unit and in the process discovered a beetle blocking the fuel line that feeds the secondary fuel bowl. After discarding the fuel rail and fitting half inch lines, the car has throttle response like never before and after a lap around the block, an 11 is on the cards.
