Tempt me not, cruel fate of deception
I despise your efforts of trickery
I’m repulsed by your nature
You fabricate falsehood
You conceive lies
May I be clearly understood
I will not surrender to your tries
You think you will fool me
But you will never rule me
Quite to the contrary
I am guided by authority
By power from above
I control only me
And I’m controlled by love
So tempt me not cruel fate
Although I have sinned
My mind is my strength
My heart is my friend
