My life has been a pursuit
To find somebody like you
I walked through fear and pain
With faith I would find you
The pieces of me I always held so close
Protecting them from harm
They seem to set themselves free
When I’m in your arms
The way I feel is different to me
I treasure what we have
I know you must create your life
But I’m worried you won’t come back
The scars in my past taught me to think
That hearts are made for breaking
But tonight I rest assured
That this is love in the making
