Seattle Moved beyond words I stand weeping, awakened to the kernel of my foundation; the melodies of the years blend to compose the harmony of one. Where sapphire meets azure I long to tarry and celebrate the liberation of the soul. My energy is intensified; interaction occurs between the physical and ethereal, and my whole benefits and grows; expansion is the result - progress is made. Mystified and starry-eyed the salty kiss upon my psyche is everlasting; its vibrance is engraved upon the very fiber of my being and the experience will never be forgotten. |

| What It Means... |
I took a trip to Seattle in 1996, and had the time of my life there. At one point, I was standing at the Market, looking out over Elliott Bay, and just enjoying the view, waiting on a friend. From behind me, where a guy and girl were singing and playing guitar, they played a song that meant a lot to me ("What's Up" by 4 Non Blondes), and then they played another one that has some very personal meaning, and I had my very first (and only) Tao experience right there. It was an incredible experience, and I just had to write about it. If you don't know what a "Tao experience" is, it's kinda described in the poem, a little. It has to do with feeling your place in the universe, it's kinda like, a spiritual connection with your god (that's a LITTLE bit about what its like). It feels almost like you're TALKING WITH GOD. It's very personal, it's very moving, it's very uplifting. The part of the poem "the melodies of the years blend to compose the harmony of one" is about how the songs intertwined, cooperated, combined to compose my inner harmony. It was very spiritual, and if you've not felt this before, it's hard to grasp the entire concept of feeling yourself in the universe. The pic of the Space Needle was taken from my hotel parking lot. |
