Mission: Journalism @ UKing's
In the dying months of 2006, I embarked on a mission to gather together previous school assignments, along with some new pieces of writing, in order to compile a portfolio for my application to a one year Bachelor of Journalism programme at the University of King's College in lovely Halifax, NS.
Usually, previous journalistic experience is an asset in such cases, but I didn't have any. Undaunted I spent the next two months polishing up old essays, and penning new opinion pieces in the hopes that my work would, at least, speak for itself. These are the fruits of my labour.
