the day you come and tell me

will i smile shyly?
like a school girl, avert my eyes and blush?
or will i remain speechless at your confession,
unable to accept the truth?
i wonder what i’ll do when it happens?
the day you move in soclose,
cup my face in your hands and kiss me.
will i kiss back?
soft and gentle at first then hungrily assault your lips?
or will i pull away?
lips swollen: heart racing.
i wonder if i’ll know when it happens?
the day you walk into my life.
my world screeching to a halt.
will you turn your head my way?
smiling at me with full lips and bright eyes?
