Welcome to PSEG Homepage, PSEG is a group consisting of researchers in the field of electric power system. Electricity plays a very important role since the moment we open our eyes to probably the moment we die. Therefore, understanding the behavior of electricity would help us to use it wisely and efficiently. Research on electric power system concerns from a few watts of shaving machine till many Giga watts of nuclear power plant. It also concerns from a few milliseconds of circuit breaker operation till many years of power plant and transmission construction project. Small misoperation of equipment or operators could result in service interruption affecting outage of electricity for millions of people and costing billions dollars of damage. In contrast, operating electric power system properly can save large amount of money. Therefore, research on electric power system is important and necessary. Operating electric power system properly is the main challenges for all of us. PSEG stands for Power System and Energy Group. PSEG has been established on June 15, 2006 by a group of young Thai researchers during 2006 Probabilistic Method Application to Power System conference in Stockholm, Sweden. There are 5 original members from Germany, Japan, Sweden and USA. Additional 2 members from Thailand and USA joined PSEG during IEEE Power Engineering Society 2006 General Meeting in Montreal a week later. Currently, number of members has raised up to 17. The main objective of PSEG is to connect Thai researchers all around the world in order to exchange knowledge and information related to electric power system. We do believe that building the connection is the most important step to strengthen power system research. We are willing to share our knowledge with you. Please go through our website and feel free to contact us if you have any comments or recommendations. In addition to discussion on power system research, we are also willing to provide you the information for studying aboard especially in the countries we are.
